First Years Bed Rail How Do You Remove Oxidation From Brass Bed Rails?

How do you remove oxidation from brass bed rails? - first years bed rail

The bed has been stored for several years in a garage. Several bed rails and footboard are made of oxidation on the brass shiny coating and I have no idea how to get the plate back to its original splendor and polished.

Make the bed, if you can, if you are not sure and protect your carpet or on the floor with plastic.
Remove beds and mattresses to read the instructions and go! Take a few days to get this job because it can be very stressful. You can set a seal when you are finished, if the oxidation takes longer to search again.
You can also paint brass. But if it is an antique that is not recommended.

Is it a bed made of solid copper? Do you have a lacquer finish to protect the metal?

If there is copper-plated, no amount of polishing was again a bright brass. It has developed a surface to hold the shiny metal finish, is not a party, you will probably remove all the protective surface and polish the whole bed to achieve a good result.

Brasso works well in brass, I have lots of polished brass of the army of one and the same thing.

Mothers Wheel Cleaner. Get a business for auto parts. If this is not ancient, because it diminishes the value.
